The Buffalo Bills added three assistants to the staff of new head coach Doug Marrone. Ike Hilliard, a former NFL player, moves over after one season with the Washington Redskins to coach wide receivers, John Anselmo will be a special teams assistant and Hal Luther was named assistant strength and conditioning coach. Hilliard played 12 years in the NFL (eight with the New York Giants and four with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and caught 546 passes for 6,397 yards and 35 touchdowns. After retiring, he spent the 2011 season an assistant receivers coach for Miami before joining the Redskins last season. Hilliard will be reunited in Buffalo with former Giants teammate Tyrone Wheatley, who previously was named running backs coach. Anselmo coached for four years on Marrone's staff at Syracuse, the last two as assistant head coach and linebackers coach. The Bills announced the addition of three assistant coaches on Thursday, including former NFL WR Ike Hilliard.
Hilliard will coach the Bills' wide receivers in 2013. A 12-year NFL veteran, Hilliard coached the Redskins' wide receivers in 2012 and was an assistant wide receivers coach for the Dolphins in 2011.
