NFL Injury Report:
The Buffalo Bills take on the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday afternoon. The Who Dey Cats come to Orchard Park looking to take down newly minted starter at quarterback, Thad Lewis. What Buffalo Bills are healthy enough to stop them? Who is in and who is out? Find out, in your Buffalo Bills Week 6 injury report.
The most notable player on this week’s injury report is QB E.J. Manuel (knee). Manuel injured his knee last week and the Bills are going with practice squad QB Thad Lewis. Manuel is out indefinitely. Also listed as out is defensive back Ron Brooks (foot) limited participation Wednesday, Thursday, did not participate on Friday, and kicker Dustin Hopkins (right groin) did not participate all week.
Leading the list of four players marked as probable is safety Jairus Byrd (foot) who was full participation all week. Byrd was ready to go last week but was downgraded to out. Head coach Doug Marrone decided to keep Byrd grounded because Byrd did not have a “full” week of full participation practice time. Last week the Bills played on Thursday night. There are no more excuses for Byrd not to play. More trade rumors swirled around this week that the Bills want Byrd in the pet store window and would entertain trade offers.
Also listed as probable is wide receiver Marcus Easley (ribs) limited participation, WR Marquise Goodwin (hand) limited participation and defensive lineman Kyle Williams (Achilles) limited participation on Wednesday with full participation the rest of the week.
The Bills have three players listed as questionable, running back C.J. Spiller (ankle) limited participation, defensive back Stephon Gilmore (wrist) limited participation and WR Stevie Johnson (back/Non injury) did not participate all week. Per the Bills’ twitter feed, Gilmore and Johnson are game time decisions.

Buffalo Bills general manager Doug Whaley told The Associated Press he foresees the possibility of the team re-signing Jairus Byrd next year, and refuted speculation that he is actively shopping the two-time Pro Bowl safety.

Bills general manager Doug Whaley is more eager to see Jairus Byrd make his season debut this weekend, than to try to project the two-time Pro Bowl safety's future in Buffalo.
Whaley told The Associated Press on Thursday that while he is not actively shopping Byrd, the Bills would listen to offers if another team called.

It is just not the Bills season for QBs. Rookie QB EJ Manuel made some nice plays for the Bills before he suffered an injury that will keep him out for around 8 weeks. His replacement for this week, Thad Lewis, also made some nice plays to take the Bills in to overtime. The second year Lewis was promoted off of the practice squad and did some nice things, it was all good news for...

BY NICK ST. DENISThe Buffalo Bills are expected to get back their top cover man Sunday when they host the Cincinnati Bengals, but it will come at a price. The price of a hand.According to Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com, cornerback Stephon Gilmore's left hand, which has kept the second-year defensive back off the field for the first five games of the regular season, will be heavily...
This might be the last EJ Manuel comparison for quite some time due to his untimely injury against the Browns. Hopefully he returns soon (but not so soon that he rushes his recovery) and maybe the Bills can win some games in the meantime.
I’m not ashamed to admit that I almost cried when Manuel clutched his knee last Thursday on the sideline. My wife locked herself in our bedroom...
As the 2013 NFL season unfolds, playing quarterback for the Buffalo Bills may prove to be one of the most hazardous jobs in the United States.

Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) at Buffalo Bills (2-3)
In 2011 and 2012, the Bengals were 18-4 against non-playoff teams and 1-11 against playoff teams. This year, they’ve beaten the Packers and Patriots, who are probably playoff teams, but lost to the Browns. It’s very possible that they are just a better team this year, but they lost to the Browns because it was a “sandwich” game...
