Star defensive end Mario Williams will be taking his services to Buffalo next year to play for the Bills. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Williams has signed a 6-year deal with the Bills worth up to 100 Million, with 50 Million guaranteed. Before being hampered by injuries last year, Williams was one of the best DE’s in the league. The former first pick in the 2006 draft has accumulated 53 sacks in his 5 year career with the Houston Texans, including 14 sacks in 2007 and 12 sacks in 2008. Last year with the Texans, Williams was forced to move from his usual DE position to outside linebacker, when they moved from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense. The Bills are going the other way in making the transition from a 3-4 to a 4-3 defense and Williams will be asked to move back to his DE where he’s more comfortable. Williams should be able to help bolster the sack numbers for the Bills...

Mario Williams signs with the Bills

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the Buffalo Bills have scheduled a 1:30pm press conference to announce the signing of defensive end Mario Williams. This is a great acquisition for the Bills that will put them back on the NFL map and might help them attract more top notch talent.  You have to give general manager Buddy Nix a lot of credit for getting the deal done and do what...

Mike Wallace looks like he’ll remain in Pittsburgh

According to Chris Wesseling of Rotoworld.com, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that it doesn’t look like any teams are interested in giving up a first round pick in order to try and sign Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent Mike Wallace. ESPN’s Adam Schefter thinks Mike Wallace will remain a Steeler so lets talk contract

On NFL Live today ESPN analyst Adam Schefter made it seem like the Steelers were going to keep Mike Wallace for 2012.  He said no teams are going to make a move on Wallace “unless circumstances change.”  This is due to the free agent market for Wide Receivers.  The price for these guys has been ridiculous this offseason. The price for Wallace plus a first round pick may turn...

Welcome to Buffalo, Mario!

It happened. Finally. It was so shocking I almost didn’t believe it was real life. Then rain dripped on me on my way out the door to work and I realized this was, indeed, real life and not a dream. Which made it even more unbelievable that Mario Williams is now officially a Buffalo Bill. This is big. Not “big” like when the Bills signed Shawne Merriman and all these fans were...
