TEAMS: Buffalo Bills
While many are assuming, and we're sure newly acquired Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb is among them, that Kolb is likely the starting QB for the team in 2013, his contract reportedly says otherwise. A league source with knowledge of the deal says his contract with the Bills "screams backup," according to Bills general manager has stated that Kolb is a "strong candidate" to land to starting spot, but that certainly doesn't make him a shoe-in, especially with the NFL Draft right around the corner. Chris Wesseling of writes: 'At the time of the signing, Kolb's contract was advertised as a "maximum" of $12 million to $13 million over two years. In reality, Kolb is guaranteed just $1 million. The difference is tied up in incentives and bonuses that will kick in only if Kolb does indeed win out as the starter -- and plays well. It's a matter of when not if the Bills draft a quarterback later this month. As long as Kolb outperforms Tarvaris Jackson in training camp, Kolb's roster spot should be safe. If he doesn't give the coaching staff a reason to keep him, though, it will be relatively painless for the Bills to cut bait.'

NFL Draft Team Needs: Buffalo Bills

  1. Quarterback: Kevin Kolb was recently brought in, but he obviously isn't a long term solution. Q&A about Alan Branch from both a Cards and Hawks writer

Yeah, I don't know much about Alan Branch. I've heard all the stuff about how he fits the hybrid defense and adds a lot of depth. I could try and lie and pretend to know who this guy is, but I don't play that way. Instead, I decided to ask someone who has covered him to find out what the deal is with him. I decided to reach out to Matthew over at Seahawks Addict and Tyler...
