Bills' Taron Johnson is back on the field after suffering scary injury
Jamie Germano/Democrat and Chronicle / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Buffalo Bills just need a find a way to get out of London without any more devastating injuries. First, Matt Milano was injured in a scary play that could result in substantial time missed.

In the third quarter, on a third down, Bills star Taron Johnson rushed after Trevor Lawrence on a blitz and banged up his knee. Johnson could be seen writhing in pain on the field, gripping his knee and taking out his mouthguard.

A cart was brought out for Johnson but he declined, walking off on the sideline with athletic trainers. As Matt Parino reported, Johnson popped up and walked off with trainers, and jogged up the tunnel to the locker room. In just moments, he was listed as questionable to return.

Johnson initially joined a long list of injuries to this defense. Christian Benford, Greg Rousseau, Matt Milano, and Shaq Lawson to name a few. Johnson is a staple on this defense and if he were to miss time, it would undoubtedly hurt.

Luckily, just a few plays later, Johnson returned to the field, giving the Bills Mafia a major sigh of relief as they avoided disaster. Matt Bove reported that Johnson was back in no time.

Buffalo has one of the best defenses in the league and it's thanks in part to the players who are all listed out today. Perhaps the only positive in this contest was that Von Miller found a way to make it back onto the field after recovering from an ACL injury.

Things aren't looking good right now for Buffalo, and there is still a lot of football left to be played.
