As if you didn’t need another sign Falcons football is right around the corner, the team announced mini camp dates this week. It’s the NFL version of spring practice, only this group includes rookies and free agent additions. It’s where a team starts to form. By the time the Falcons take the field for the first time in 2010 on May 7 the post-draft discussion and criticism will have faded. The team will be a few days stronger from offseason conditioning. The rookies will, if they haven’t all ready, lost the butterflies from stepping into Flowery Branch HQ. It’s the small, but very important step toward training camp and the 2010 season. Fans can watch a pair of practices on May 8 and see how it all comes together.
