Last year at this time, we were marveling at Tim Tebow's ability to have defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round of the playoffs. This year, we're dumbstruck by the Ravens' 38-35 upset of the Broncos. Most folks in Denver were upset after the game, but not Tim Tebow's brother, Peter. Am I the only one in Denver who's happy right now? — Peter Tebow (@petertebow) January 13, 2013 It would be uncharacteristic to hear about something like this from Tim Tebow, widely considered one of the most humble athletes in pro sports. Apparently the same can't be said for his brother. [follow]

The Release of Chris Rainey Does Not Really Change Anything For The Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers waived RB Chris Rainey, according to this ESPN.com report, after he was charged with simple battery on January 10, 2013. The Steelers drafted Rainey in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft because of his speed and versatility to be a running back, wide receiver and kick returner. Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey received some new hardware on Saturday as he was named to the AP All Pro second team. It makes the third consecutive season that the Steelers 2010 first-round draft pick has earned All-pro status. Is Bruce Arians A Threat To Poach Away Steelers RB Isaac Redman During Restricted Free Agency?

Several teams are now just a few weeks into their offseason and there are still a few head-coaching spots left to be filled in addition. One of the candidates for the few remaining open jobs around the league is Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, who of course was the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to being let go around this time last...

Steelers Expected to Keep Ramon Foster over Willie Colon for Left Guard Position

When the Steelers were put on the clock during the 2012 NFL Draft they were ecstatic to see that the top guard in the draft, David DeCastro of Stanford, was still on the board. They wasted no time making DeCastro their selection and added him to a young core of players on their improving offensive line. DeCastro, a right guard in college, is expected to play on the right side for...

Should Rocky Bleier be Inducted into the Hall of Fame?

There are many great players who have not been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. Some have not been inducted because they just did not play long enough, others because their stats were not great, and others because there were simply too many choices to choose from in any one year. Of all the players who have not been inducted, there is one that should be considered. He is Pittsburgh...

Not All Pittsburgh Steelers Fans Are Rooting Against the Ravens in the 2012 AFC Championship Game

This is an unpopular opinion that might cost me my seat at the cool-kids table among Pittsburgh Steelers fans. I want the Ravens to beat the Patriots Sunday. The Ravens and Patriots meet in the AFC Championship Game for the second year in a row. It’s the first time the same teams have met in the AFC title game for two straight seasons since the Browns and Broncos in 1986 and 1987...

Cowher says he has no plans on coaching

Last week reports surfaced that former Pittsburgh Steelers coach and current CBS studio analyst, Bill Cowher, would eventually return to coaching. I guess that report was wrong. Today on the CBS NFL pregame show Cowher must’ve had a change of heart because he told host James Brown that he’s not going anywhere. “Coach, this week it was reported that you are looking to return...
