The Jets Blog:
Who are the Jets this season?
In 2009 and 2010, this was a team that relied on its powerful running game and its unflappable defense to win. In 2011, the run game has started slow, the run defense has been permeable, and the passing game is flying higher than it has before.
In 2009 and 2010, the Jets were a dominant road team that played decently at home. In 2011, the Jets have not won a game on the road or lost a game at home.
In 2009 and 2010, the Jets has trouble finding their footing after a rest. In both season, they lost their first game back after the bye week. In 2010, they lost their season opener. In 2011, the Jets defeated the Cowboys at home on September 11 to open the season. Next week we’ll find out how charged up this team is.

When you play the Jets, you feel it for a while after the game is over. Despite the flippancy of the headline, this story is rather serious. If you’ll recall, early in the 4th quarter during Sunday’s game, Chargers offensive lineman Kris Dielman suffered a dangerous-looking concussion.
From watching the game footage, it looked Dielman, while trying to push at the line during...
