Black Monday: New York Jets Fire GM Mike Tannenbaum But Retain Rex Ryan

Black Monday has rolled through the New York/New Jersey area, although Jets head coach Rex Ryan appears to have avoided the dreaded day after the regular season. The Jets will retain their head coach into next season, but GM Mike Tannenbaum is not as lucky. Jets owner Woody Johnson has decided to fire Tannenbaum after serving 15 years in one capacity or another with the team. He thanked him for all of his hard work and dedication, but everyone knew that it was time for him to go.
