Blackout Looms Over Chargers-Ravens Game

The Chargers have some catching up to do — and not just on the field. The team is behind in the box office, where about 10,000 general tickets remain unsold for Sunday's game against the Ravens, a team spokesman said Monday. The game will not be shown live on local television unless enough tickets are sold by Thursday's 1:05 p.m. deadline. This would be San Diego's second blackout of the season and seventh in its past 21 home games, a regular-season period dating back to 2010 when a streak of 48 straight sellouts was snapped. Corporate sponsors helped lift the blackout of the team's last home game, which came against the Chiefs on Nov. 1 and was nationally broadcast on the NFL Network.
