Eli Manning didn't come out and say the New York Giants are facing a must-win game heading into the third week. The two-time Super Bowl MVP came close though, and he wasn't the only Giant expressing concern after an 0-2 start. Outspoken safety Antrel Rolle has seen an inexplicable lack of excitement on the bench in losses to Dallas and Denver, and it concerns him. The 0-2 start is New York's first since 2007 and it has their attention. Middle linebacker Mark Herzlich felt a sense of urgency in Monday's meeting, less than 24 hours after a 41-23 loss to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. If there is a positive for Tom Coughlin's team, his team still believes in itself.

Eli Manning has 'anointed' portrait of himself hanging in home

Who knew humble old Eli Manning was hiding a little bit of A-Rod narcissism inside? The New York Giants quarterback — known for his Aw shucks personality — is also a serious art collector who keeps a portrait of himself titled "Annointed" hanging in his vast collection of works. “He would appear to be anointed, in the parlance of our Protestant religious fables...

Peyton Manning, Broncos blow out Giants 41-23

Eli Manning has come along nicely. No one can deny he's come through in the clutch a couple times. But nobody seriously believes he's a better quarterback than his brother Peyton Manning do they? Manning, Broncos look unstoppable so far

(Eds: Updates with details. With AP Photos.) By EDDIE PELLS AP National Writer Of all the ways Peyton Manning and the Denver offense have dominated over the first two games of the season, this one probably says the most: Had they not scored at all in the first half of either game, they would still be tied with Green Bay for the league lead in points. New York Giants: Reaction to Manning Bowl

Peyton Manning 3. Eli Manning 0. That’s the short story from Sunday’s 41-23 decimation of the New York Giants courtesy of the Denver Broncos. Now at 0-2, the Giants are set to embark on a sequel to their miraculous 2007 season that led them to the Super Bowl and defeated the then-undefeated New England Patriots. But this isn’t 2007 and this team isn’t the same as 2007. Sure...

Denver Broncos at New York Giants: Five Things We Learned

The Denver Broncos rolled into Gotham City on Sunday afternoon with a matchup worthy of Superman vs. Batman.Manning Bowl III didn't disappoint.  As I predicted, this game started off as a defensive struggle, with a 10-6 score at half time.  While rushing was a factor, it was by no means the harbinger of the game. As for my third prediction, that the game wouldn't be decided...

The Baltimore Ravens after Week 2

Following that tough opening week loss at Denver, when Peyton Manning emphatically announced himself as an MVP frontrunner for the 2013 season, the Baltimore Ravens were looking to get back on track this week with a much more appealing home game against the Cleveland Browns. It seems as if people keep suggesting that the Browns [...]

Giants' secondary with a tall order ahead

The New York Giants biggest weakness the past few years have been the play of their defensive secondary unit. A unit that has been picked apart the past few seasons, now looks like a stronger group after a playing well in the opener against the Dallas Cowboys. Now the Giants secondary will have the huge task of defending future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

Giants-Panthers Preview

Reeling from a pair of ugly season-opening losses and facing a hole that's proved nearly impossible to overcome, the New York Giants can only hope a Week 3 matchup with the Carolina Panthers goes as well as it did in 2012.
