Last night's game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars was one of the worst NFL games in my recent memory. The final score wasn't outrageous (27-10 in favor of the Colts), but the way the Jaguars lost was just ugly. At 1-8, the Jaguars are the worst team in the NFL, and their play has regressed so far this season.
With so much going wrong, it appears that owner Shahid Khan will be launching a full-scale rebuild at the end of the season, but what exactly does that mean? What follows is a simplistic blueprint for rebuilding a franchise as quickly as possible.
1) Blow it up. The first step of rebuilding a franchise is to wipe the slate clean. That includes a new general manager and a new coaching staff. Gene Smith took over as general manager of the Jaguars in 2009, and the team hasn't improved. Mike Mularkey took over at the beginning of this year. He may be safe as the head coach, but if I was Shahid Khan, I'd fire everyone.

Blaine Gabbert to remain QB for Jaguars
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Despite a six-game losing streak and more offensive ineptitude, the Jacksonville Jaguars are sticking with quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
Coach Mike Mularkey says he has no plans to switch to backup Chad Henne following Thursday night's 27-10 debacle against the Indianapolis Colts.
Gabbert completed 18 of 31 passes for 209 yards, with an interception...
Jaguars Injury Report: Maurice Jones-Drew, Blaine Gabbert, Rashean Mathis
The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without running back
Maurice Jones-Drew when they take on the Indianapolis Colts tonight, but they
will have quarterback Blaine Gabbert and possibly cornerback Rashean Mathis,

Colts strong start makes playoffs real possibility
The strong start by the Indianapolis Colts has everyone talking about the possibility of making the playoffs.
Interim coach Bruce Arians is more concerned with protecting No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Luck.

21 NSFW ‘Frustrated Jaguars Fans Lobbing F-Bomb After Colts Loss’ Tweets
Blaine Gabbert, Mike Mularkey and the Jacksonville Jaguars have hit rock bottom. They’re 1-8 and just got spanked on prime-time 27-10 by the Colts…at home. Jaguars fans are at their wits end. Some are encouraging the team re-locates. Some are wishing injury to their “franchise” quarterback.

Week 10 Playoff Picture: Colts take first step in seizing wide open wild card spot
Things have changed quickly over the past week. I have just two new entries into the Playoff Picture for Week 10 and it is due largely to the fact that the Dolphins and Eagles failed to take advantage of the promising situations in front of them. With the Eagles, it was more about the team that failed to take advantage of an opportunity. For the Dolphins, it's about having that...
Baguars Fans Emerge for Jacksonville’s Lone National TV Game of the Year
On a weekly basis the Jacksonville Jaguars continue to make their case for being the worst team in the NFL. Unfortunately due to the NFL’s new Thursday Night football rules this year it forces every team to make at least one national television appearance for the year. So yes even the pitiful 1-8 Jags were shoved down the throats of all football fans tonight. And boy did they ever...

Jaguars, Colts open thread; only pride remains
The Jaguars take on the Indianapolis Colts tonight in a game that seemingly only matters to the Colts. At 5-3, Indianapolis is in the thick of the AFC wildcard race, and they're Jacksonville's most hated team. The Jaguars would need to win out and get plenty of help to make the playoffs. At 1-7, it's just not going to happen. Tonight's game is all about doing damage...
Thursday Night Football: Colts Seek Revenge In Jacksonville
Indianapolis and Jacksonville always keep things interesting between them, even if apart they are far from interesting.Jacksonville has been absolutely atrocious this season.Kansas City, who has yet to hold a lead, have been compared to the infamous 2008 Lions (0-16). T.Y. Hilton – WR Colts:
Six catches for 102 yards and a touchdown is a good day but having 11 targets is an even better day. The Colts are playing with a heavy heart and now that Andrew Luck is figuring out the NFL their offense is starting to pick up. Hilton adds another Colt receiver with fantasy value and no defense is in his way the next few weeks. At Jaguars...
Andrew Luck Takes Big Hit From Dawan Landry, Draws Flag (Animation)
Andrew Luck may not be Robert Griffin III when it comes to running the football, but that hasn’t stopped him from getting out of the pocket like his Washington counterpart.
Luck scored two rushing touchdowns on Thursday night against the Jaguars. But on one particular scramble in the fourth quarter, the Colts quarterback took a major hit hit from Jacksonville safety Dawan Landry...

Indianapolis Colts: Is a Playoff Run Possible?
It’s something that most of us never imagined saying just two months ago, but if the NFL playoffs started today, the Andrew Luck led Indianapolis Colts would be in it.
With their fifth win in six games, and their fourth straight overall, the Colts all of a sudden find themselves in familiar territory in the playoff hunt. In fact, if the Houston Texans drop their Sunday Night...
