Found November 20, 2012 on Football Nation:
As a starting running back in the National Football League, Miami Dolphins' running back Reggie Bush has had a horrible 2012 campaign. Bush has only crossed the 100 yard mark in rushing once this season, and that was against the lowly Raiders' defense. Bush has only managed 82 rushing yards in the last three games, while also coughing up a fumble which in turn resulted in a benching by head coach Joe Philbin.Bush has had an up and down career, posting career highs in rushing last year with Miami, and winning a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints back in 2010. However, between losing his Heisman trophy, never living up to expectations in New Orleans as a first round pick, and this horrible season in Miami, it may be time for Reggie Bush to leave South Beach. The Dolphins drafted Kansas State running back Daniel Thomas in 2011 to be the every down back in Miami, that is before they brought in Bush via free agency. Thomas was then thrust in the back seat, and forced to take t...

What’s wrong with the Miami Dolphins?

The Miami Dolphins are currently riding a 3 game losing streak that has made their hopes of the playoffs as likely as me finally getting that date with Mila Kunis.  It’s not impossible, but it’s not going to happy for our Dolphins.  The Dolphins season got off to a rocky 1-3 start and then the team rebounded to win 3 straight games to improve to 4-3.  Unfortunately, they couldn’t...

Dolphins Division: Dolphins slide continues, Pats off and running

The Miami Dolphins were once 4-3, but that was a long time ago my friends.  The Dolphins currently sit at 4-6 and are now 3 games behind the Patriots in the AFC East.  The rest of the division isn’t doing much better, since the Bills and Jets are tied with the Dolphins for 2nd (and last) place.  Since all 4 teams were tied at 3-3, the Pats have gone 4-0, with the rest of the...

Marcus Thigpen ignites Dolphins return game

DAVIE, Fla. Reality has set in for the Miami Dolphins, who are 4-6 and riding a three-game losing streak. Barring a miracle turnaround, this season will not be about fighting for a playoff berth in Year No. 1 under Joe Philbin. Its about building a foundation and finding players who can make a difference. Enter Marcus Thigpen. The former Indiana running back already has found...

5 Keys to Resurrecting the Miami Dolphin Offense

Talk in Miami is centered around the regression of Ryan Tannehill and the stagnation of the Dolphin offense. The Miami Dolphin wide receivers cannot get off press coverage. Miami does not have... Carroll and Bush meet again as Seattle faces Miami

When Reggie Bush got his chance to face Pete Carroll in the NFC playoffs two seasons ago, he couldn't wait. It was the opportunity to show off before his former college coach when injuries in the New Orleans backfield left Bush as the featured back. Then Bush carried the ball just five times and was left watching Carroll celebrate the Seahawks' upset victory of the then...

Dolphins need to get ground game going

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- The Miami Dolphins' offense has stalled, and the long list of reasons includes too many turnovers, not enough big plays and too many rookie moments by quarterback Ryan Tannehill. So what bugs offensive coordinator Mike Sherman the most? None of the above. "Aw, just the run game," Sherman said Monday. "Everything jells around the run game....

Despite slump, Dolphins to get Thanksgiving off

A day off for an NFL team 72 hours before kickoff is rare, especially when that team has lost three games in a row. But Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin is giving his players Thanksgiving off. The team will practice daily through Wednesday, then reconvene Friday to finish preparations for Sunday's game against Seattle. Philbin says the unusual break for the holiday is possible...

Judge: NCAA 'malicious' in USC case

The NCAA was ''malicious'' in its investigation of a former Southern California assistant football coach who was linked in a report to a scandal surrounding Heisman Trophy-winning tailback Reggie Bush, a judge said Wednesday. The NCAA's report on ethical breaches by Todd McNair was flawed, and the former coach has shown a probability he can win his defamation...

Seattle Seahawks vs Miami Dolphins: Battle Of The Rookie Quarterbacks

When the Miami Dolphins selected Ryan Tannehill with the 8th pick of this year’s draft, they didn’t expect him to be their starting quarterback, at least not this year. The prevailing theory was that he would sit on the bench this year and start next year. Tannehill obviously didn’t get that memo; he went out and grabbed the starting job before the first game of the season...

Judge: NCAA 'malicious' in USC investigation

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The NCAA was "malicious" in its investigation of a former Southern California assistant football coach who was linked in a report to a scandal surrounding Heisman Trophy-winning tailback Reggie Bush, a judge said Wednesday. The NCAA's report on ethical breaches by Todd McNair was flawed, and the former coach has shown a probability he can win his...

Judge says NCAA “malicious” during investigation of USC football

Former USC running backs coach Todd McNair essentially had his career ended by the NCAA’s punishment of the school’s football program. The NCAA ruled that McNair “knew or should have known” about payments from a wannabe sports agent to running back Reggie Bush, despite a serious lack of evidence. Now McNair is suing the NCAA, claiming the organization’s investigation was...

Pitiful Picks: Thanksgiving Day Style!

The Miami Dolphins coaching staff rearranged the Dolphins practice schedule this week to give the players off for Thanksgiving.  The Dolphins practiced on Tuesday, a day that they are usually off, so that they could spend Thanksgiving with their families.  Hopefully, the Dolphins coaches ‘family’ approach will pay off as they continue preparations for the Seahawks tomorrow...
