TEAMS:
Baltimore Ravens
We’re going into the last weekend before the NFL season. It’s going to be a huge fantasy drafting weekend. I myself have three leagues yet to draft. One being our Platinum league here on MrFantasyFreak.com; which will NOT be one of the four leagues Alex predicted he will win this year in his 40 bold predictions article. One draft will be Tuesday... the night before the season starts. I’m stoked.
This is the time many fantasy writers are giving you bold predictions which we may be able to go back and brag on or choke on humble pie. Here I will simply give you by postion my predictions on who finishes the season as the top player, the bust, and the sleeper.

Curtis Painter Cut By Ravens
The Ravens cut former Colts quarterback Curtis Painter amongst a bevy of roster moves on Friday.Fantasy Spin:With Joe Flacco ahead of him on the depth chart, Painter never had a realistic chance to succeed in Baltimore so it's no surprise that they gave him the boot on cut day. Painter hasn't shown us much in his first three years of professional football (66.6 career QB...
Ravens trim roster to 53, place six on IR
The Ravens needed to get down to 53 players. They did just that Friday night.
Once again the Ravens elected to keep two quarterbacks by cutting Curtis Painter. Painter showed a few things in his playing time during the preseason, but the Ravens obviously feel Tyrod Taylor is the better option to back up Joe Flacco.
Aside from Painter, here’s the list of players the Ravens cut:...

New Series: Bold Prediction #7 – Wacko for Flacco (Ravens QB flirts with QB1 status)
Ravens brass had a very productive 2008 draft as they secured a franchise QB with the 18th overall pick when they selected Delaware Blue Hen Joe Flacco and then got one of the steals of recent draft memory nabbing Ray Rice in round 2. With a more aggressive offensive philosophy , myriad of receiving weapons and a defense that could yield more points without Terrell Suggs (expected...

Courtney Upshaw's Injury Has Ravens 'Concerned'; MRI Coming
The Ravens had hoped rookie Courtney Upshaw could contribute to their rotation at linebacker, but his ability to play could be in question after reinjuring Thursday night against St. Louis a shoulder injury that nagged him throughout camp.
The 35th overall pick had sprained his right shoulder earlier in camp, and hurt it again in the second quarter of the preseason loss, leaving...

Ravens drop preseason finale 31-17 to Rams
It took a while for the Ravens to get on the board, but they did in the third quarter.
Backup quarterback Curtis Painter found tight end Billy Bajema in the end zone for the Ravens’ first touchdown of the game.
Painter later found wide receiver Deonte Thompson for the second touchdown of the game.
Cuts are tomorrow. I will write about those when they happen.
Ravens add safety Ihedigbo
The Ravens apparently aren’t done tweaking their roster. The team has agreed to sign former Patriots safety James Ihedigbo, according to the player’s Twitter account.
The move hasn’t been made official so I don’t know the specifics of who the Ravens let go to get Ihedigbo on the roster.
More to come.
Ravens LB Rookie Courtney Upshaw Reinjures His Shoulder In Loss
Courtney Upshaw was hoping to salvage a disappointing preseason with a good performance against the St. Louis Rams. Instead, the rookie linebacker left the Edward Jones Dome on Thursday night with more questions about his health and more doubts about his availability for the Ravens Sept.10 regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Upshaw, who was bothered throughout...

Jeff Fisher may have done Baltimore a favor by starting his first team and playing them for most of the first half... it gave Ravens coach John Harbaugh a benchmark for testing the playability of his 2's, 3's and 4's in the final game of the 2012 preseason. Now the cuts the Ravens have to make will at least be based upon relativity to the best St. Louis has to offer.It...

Ravens fall behind Rams early
The Ravens have fallen behind the St. Louis Rams in their final (hooray!) preseason game in the first quarter.

On the next Ravens’ offensive possession Tyrod Taylor lost a fumble.
The Ravens are down 14-0 in the first quarter.
