Kyle Boller will enter his ninth NFL season after quietly re-signing with the Oakland Raiders last week before the league year ended, according to the Oakland Tribune. Boller, a 2003 first-round pick by the Ravens, agreed to a one-year, $1.25 million deal to be the backup to Jason Campbell. That's a $250,000 raise from last season, his first with Oakland. Hue Jackson, the Raiders' first-year head coach, was Boller's quarterbacks coach in 2008 with the Ravens. Boller, who will turn 30 in June, played in five games last season for the Raiders, throwing four passes and completing two. He was with the Ravens for the first six years of his career before going to St. Louis in free agency in 2009. In his career, Boller has completed 56.7 percent of his throws and has passed for 8,770 yards. He has thrown 48 touchdowns and 51 interceptions for a 70.4 rating.
