The New York Giants are in a small transition period, the departure of key veterans such as RB Ahmad Bradshaw, DE Osi Umenyiora, safety Kenny Phillips have the team searching for replacements. Second year RB David Wilson and Andre Brown will likely be a running back by committee approach, but there are some question marks at safety and defensive end. The team was able to avoid a prolonged contract battle with WR Victor Cruz, however, they still have to deal with bookend Hakeem Nicks contract situation. After missing the playoffs in 2012, the team is hungry to get back to their championship ways. According to Mike Wilkening of Profootballtalk.com, the Giants are always dangerous, but they also can fall out of contention. Wilkening writes: ‘If the NFL seeded every team one through 32 last January and had a playoff tourney, the Giants would have been a chic sleeper pick to win it all. Everyone knows New York is a serious threat no matter its seed. Of course, there is no such 32-team tournament. Only six teams per conference make the playoffs. And in three of the last four seasons, the postseason has begun with the Giants at home.’ PFT Rank No. 13

New York Giants 2013 NFL Season Preview

Introduction The Giants won the Super Bowl in 2011, but failed to make the playoffs in 2012. What happened? Well, nothing really.
