Vikings Gab:
The team is .500 for the first time this season, but after watching the offense put up plenty of yards and not a lot of points on Sunday is cause for concern. You had to like the fact they were able to rally late, and yes the pass interference call was one that could be debated, but the bottom line is they got it, and they were able to get the win with it.
Now the team is going to have to start looking at their red zone play calling, and why they have yet to be successful when they are close to getting 400 yards of offense. They won't have the luxury of wasting points on Sunday when they take on the Bears on the road. If they score 12 points against Chicago, they will head into the bye week at 3-4.
One key will be to get Adrian Peterson the ball more in those red zone situations. He has three TD's, but how about some screen passes and ways to get him into space? That would be a good first step to him having the ball in his hands in key situations. Peterson was the rookie of the year for a reason last year, and he needs to be featured even more than he is right now.
Another guy that is starting to get the ball more, but needs to see it even more is Bernard Berrian. He's the teams leading WR with 436 yards and two TD's, but again, let's see him with his hands on the ball more. Berrian is a quality WR, and he is starting to gain more confidence with Gus Frerotte and the teams offense. He has 15 first downs on catches, one off of the team lead of Bobby Wade.
It will be up to offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell to come up with ways to get his playmakers the ball more when it counts. Rushes up the middle on first and second down, then pass plays on third downs are not going to get it done. Peterson and Berrian are the keys, and in order to score more - they need to be seen with the ball more.

Packers Defensive Backs May Have Violated NFL Bounty Rule
The NFL has been void of scandal for a while now. It's been months since a player has been caught fighting dogs or a coach has been caught filming opposing teams playcalling. But we are trying our best to make do. Terrell Owens waving around a touchdown towel, I guess we can try and make that work. Referees reviewed a field goal, which is technically not reviewable. It was a...

The Vikings played all their cards right in New Orleans on Monday night, pulling out a wild 30-27 win. Today at home vs the lowly Lions, the team needed all they get and more just to pull out a 12-10 win. Breathing a sigh of relief after Ryan Longwell's game-winning kick from 26 [...]
Saints/Vikings Reaction, Week 6 NFL Spreads Forecast
Wow! Monday Night Football has been crazy this year to say the least. This has to be right up there with the Eagles/Cowboys game in week 2. Unfortunately, everyone is feeling sorry for the Saints. They deserved to win that one badly and really, the score could have been 38-10 if about 3 plays just went their way and the refs weren't against them. Um, is it time to fire Ed Hocules...

This is a new weekly column. It will take the fantasy temperature of who is hot, cold, and lukewarm. We will examine a few players in each temperature range.

QB Brett Favre is hot. This season reminds me of Brett in his prime. He is having fun and making plays. His receivers are developing nicely. Last week, he had 24 completions for 34...
New York Giants 21, Chicago Bears 16
The Bears quite simply choked in this game as they were leading 16-7 heading into the 4th quarter. Rex Grossman kept the passing game short as he completed 25 of 46 passes for 296 yards with 1 TD pass. Adrian Peterson was busy as he carried the ball 22 times for 67 yards (3.0 ypc) [...]

Who Will Star in the Raiders Backfield?
It was the fourth overall pick that garnered the most attention from fantasy managers through out the nation, just like it was the second overall pick two years ago when Reggie Bush was the top running back chosen. Peterson Number Two In Rushing
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has moved up the list of the NFL's rushing leaders. Peterson, who racked up 121 yards in Chicago on Sunday, is now second in the league with 684 yards. That's 134 yards behind Washington's Clinton Portis. Peterson passed Atlanta's Michael Turner, who was idle with the Falcons on a bye on Sunday.
Eagles Playoff Gameday 2009: The Game We Thought Would Never Happen
I keep hearing people talk about the Giants next week, and all I can think is that we might be looking past this game. The Vikings are a team you could say flew under the radar this year, despite notching ten wins. They didn't earn their playoff berth until week 17, and the most extensive talk around town about their club at any point this season has either been by Adrian Peterson...
