Running back Ahmad Bradshaw will return to the Big Apple this season in a Giants uniform. Though terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed, speculation is the four-year veteran received a new four-year contract. Bradshaw, who spoke to some other NFL teams this offseason, led the Giants in rushing with 1,235 yards on 276 attempts and scored eight touchdowns.
The only issue with Bradshaw is his (lack of) impact as a receiver. He has upside in PPR leagues, where he picked up a slew of points for his 47 receptions last season, but he has just one receiving touchdown in his career. And last season his yards per reception reached a career low: 6.7 yards per catch.
It’s reassuring to see a running back get over 300 touches in a season, as Bradshaw did last year. But it’s what they do with the football once they have it that really matters. Bradshaw scored just eight touchdowns. He’s an excellent runner (his career yards per carry is 4.8), but he needs to find the endzone more often to move up on fantasy draft boards.
