In a story that has virtually no fantasy impact whatsoever, Brady Quinn has been signed by the New York Jets. In a related move, the Jets released QB Graham Harrell who lasted just over a week in New York.
Some are speculating that this could mean Mark Sanchez‘ injury is worse than they are letting on and that his spot on the roster is in jeopardy. If it weren’t for the enormous amount of mullah Sanchez is guaranteed to receive in 2013, he would have been released by now. But that salary and the corresponding cap hit they would take in 2014, amount is roughly 4 million, is what makes the Jets nervous. I don’t blame them, but let’s be honest, keeping Sanchez around only creates more headaches and questions each week. The Jets want to start fresh with Geno Smith, so just do the deed and move on.
