MVN Browns:
Wednesdays practice had Brady Quinn taking all the snaps with the first string. Which means that Brady Quinn will be named Sunday's starter over Derek Anderson.
Brady Quinn has decent leadership qualities and he's obviously an extremely talented QB. He hasn't proven all that much to me, and if I'm a Browns fan i'm saying to myself we had this problem last year and this is the best you could do off season? I hardly believe that these two guys were the best option for the Browns with Mangini taking over.
If there is one thing I hate in football it's preseason position battles that run into the week 1 practices. If neither player has shown by the second exhibition game that they're worthy of the starting position, release both of them and go after Jeff Garcia.
How is it possible to have an effective mini camp/preseason when you haven't announced who your quarterback will be? This QB controversy has been solved but it has also cost the Browns some much needed time. And believe me, the Browns will need all the practice they can get this season.
Congrats Quinn and Mangini, but this might be another long season in Cleveland.
