Who said you can’t go home again? To be frank, I didn’t really think much of acquiring Deion Branch and trading away Randy Moss. On paper, it looked like a total downgrade at the position with the team only gaining a net move of one round up in the 2011 draft with the picks exchanged in the respective moves. After a few days of letting it settle in for a few days, I decided that Belichick and the gang probably knew better than I did on personnel moves. But Branch? Really?
Well if today was any indication, clearly the right choice was made to bring Deion back. It didn’t take long with him to sync up with Brady again and make some great plays. Branch caught nine balls for 98 yards and a touchdown in his first action with the Patriots since 2005. Over the first four games played for the Seahawks, Branch had 13 catches for 112 yards and a touchdown.
One observation that was quite clear to me was the fact that Brady looked very comfortable out there on passing plays. Su...
