New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs is confident that he’ll remain with the Giants for the 2012 season.
“Well, I have spoken to my agent and I do expect to be fully back with the New York Giants next season,” Jacobs said on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday per ESPNNewYork.com. “These guys in the front office, they’ve been doing this for years. They know what they gotta do. I want to be back. But they actually know what has to be done if they want me back.”
Jacobs is due a $500,000 roster bonus in March and he’s scheduled to make $4.4 million in 2012, which is way too much for a back up running back.
Jacobs believes the Giants want him back, but we don’t know what they’ll be willing to pay him for next season.
“If they don’t want me back then that’s another story in itself, then nothing has to be done,” he said. “But I got a feeling that they do. So, you know, things get worked out. I definitely plan on being [with] Big Blue for the 2012 season.”

Giants have Opportunity to Save Big at RB
The RB position is an interesting one for Big Blue in that (at least from our outsider point of view) there is a lot of uncertainty and perhaps room for some change. Bradshaw should be safe and who knows, maybe 2012 is finally his...
