With all of the hoopla surrounding Adderall and its related consequences, Bears receiver Brandon Marshall brought to light another performance-enhancing drug: the little blue pill.

Speaking at his weekly press conference, Marshall claims he's heard of players using Viagra to gain a competitive advantage on the field.

"I don't know too much about Adderall," Marshall said, via USA Today. "I know guys, it is such a competitive league, guys try anything just to get that edge. I'm fortunate enough to be blessed with size and some smarts to give me my edge. But some guys, they'll do whatever they can to get an edge. I've heard of some crazy stories. I've heard (of) guys using like Viagra, seriously. Because the blood is supposedly thin, some crazy stuff. So, you know, it's kind of scary with some of these chemicals that are in some of these things so you have to be careful."

This season, more than a dozen NFLers have been suspended for testing positive for Adderall, a prescription drug used to treat ADHD disorder by balancing out chemicals in the brain.

Most recently, Seahawks starting cornerback Richard Sherman, who, along with fellow corner Brandon Browner, is facing a four-game ban, claims he "accidentally" ingested the drug.

Whether Sherman is telling the truth or Marshall's hearsay is accurate, the league is taking a hard-line stance against any and all possible PEDs.

Despite appeals and arguments to the contrary, that stance isn't going to soften.
