Found December 22, 2012 on Patriots Life:
The Patriots have battled many injuries to key players this season. Big names like Logan Mankins, Aaron Hernandez, Chandler Jones, Rob Gronkowski and others have missed games. In some ways the injuries have been the story of the season. It's a tale that won't change this Sunday against the Jaguars where the Patriots will have to do without two of their key defensive players.ESPN:Middle linebacker Brandon Spikes, right cornerback Alfonzo Dennard and tight end Rob Gronkowski will not play for the Patriots in Sunday's game against the Jaguars, the team announced. That is some pretty awful news. Though admittedly it'd be more awful if the team wasn't facing the lowly 2-12 Jacksonville Jaguars.Gronkowski, Spikes and Dennard all practiced all week. Gronk was not expected to play since breaking his forearm in Week 11 against the Colts. This would be Week 4 of the 4-6 weeks he was supposed to miss.Dennard has left the past two games due to injury. Neither caused him to m...

Uninspired Patriots Escape with a Win

Uninspired should stand out in that headline as well as here.  That’s what Sunday’s effort was by the New England Patriots against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars.  The Jags sporting a now 2-13 record and an anemic defense and pathetic offense should have been cannon fodder for a New England team looking to regain it’s edge after last weeks loss at home to San Francisco. ...

New England Patriots at Jacksonville Jaguars: Week 16 NFL Pick

New England Patriots (10-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars (2-12) Tom Brady and the Patriots lost last week, but there was still a lot to like from that game. They scored 34 points on the league’s best defense, despite a season high 4 turnovers and despite missing Rob Gronkowski. Their defense surrendered 41 points, but that could have been a lot less if not for the uncharacteristic 4...

Jaguars fade late in close loss to Patriots

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Coming off consecutive prime-time games at home and facing one of the NFL's worst teams on the road, the New England Patriots were poised for a letdown. They surely didn't expect a near meltdown. Tom Brady overcame a rough start by throwing two touchdown passes, and the Patriots held on to beat the woeful Jacksonville Jaguars 23-16 on Sunday....

Sully Still Hates Belichick, And More Friday Media Items

With the news that columnist Brian McGrory will become the new editor of the Boston Globe, some might wonder whether any changes would be forthcoming in the sports department. I doubt it. Based on some of the truly atrocious columns McGrory penned about the Red Sox, I think we can be confident that the sports department will remain as it is. What it is is a place where the head of...

Gameday Deciding Factors: Patriots at Jaguars
