Down and Distance:
As the nation celebrates their Independence today, Americans every where are heading to barbecues, picnics, parties, parades and firework shows. As the whole nation celebrates the 4th of July, NFL players are celebrating as well. On the 4th of July, some people like to wear their best red, white and blue stuff to show off their American spirit. One player wearing his American pride is Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden. Weeden took to Twitter earlier this morning to Tweet out this picture of his red, white and blue gear. It’d only be right to post this on this great American holiday!! Happy 4th of July to everyone!! pic.twitter.com/aYsorQB2Iq — Brandon Weeden (@bweeden3) July 4, 2013 On the 4th of July, as much as I love to be outside grilling, I love watching people in their red, white and blue stuff even more. Nice to see Weeden is having fun during the 4th of July holiday. The post Brandon Weeden shows off his American pride appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE - Presented by Sports-Kings.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden proudly wore a patriotic summer outfit to commemorate Independence Day, featuring a stars-and-stripes tank top and shorts.
It's good to see that Weeden wasn't scarred from the experience of being trapped under an American flag during pregame ceremonies prior to last year's season opener.
H/T Shutdown Corner.
Former Oklahoma State star-turned Cleveland Browns first-round draft pick Brandon Weeden is just about as patriotic as they come on the Fourth.
Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson doesn't want to be known as injury prone, but it's not his choice to decide these matters.
According to ESPNCleveland.com, Richardson will be held out until August to avoid further injury to a recent leg injury.
He strained a muscle in his right leg and the Browns fear that the injury could lead to a possible stress fracture...
After letting kicker Phil Dawson walk, the Cleveland Browns find themselves with two kickers with different strengths, making it a hard choice to decide who they'll likely use this season.
The answer might be both, reports ESPN's Jamison Hensley. The team has Shayne Graham, the fifth-most accurate kicker in NFL history, as your kicker inside the 40, and former Vikings...
While neither of them will be named “Phil Dawson,” the Cleveland Browns may consider carrying two kickers into the 2013 NFL season. ESPN.com’s AFC North blogger Jamison Hensley writes that Cleveland may need both veteran Shayne Graham and the little-known Brandon Bogotay to replace the departed Pro Bowler.
“It’s possible the Browns could use Graham to handle most of the...
Kickers are most certainly an afterthought in the NFL, as there are often more than a few that bounce around from team-to-team throughout the course of every season. Most teams consider their kickers to be expendable. Former Cleveland Browns kicker Phil Dawson was the rare exception to this for 14 years, as Dawson had been a member of the Browns since their reboot in 1999.
Quarterback guru Ron Jaworski (click to PFR for some groovy 1980′s stat lines) is beginning to unveil his annual rankings of the position, and, Mary Kay Cabot at the Cleveland Plain Dealer is excited about Browns QB Brandon Weeden’s ranking… a robust 26. Ok, maybe the number isn’t something to get hyped up about, but, a number of Jaws’ comments stand out as good news...

It’s undeniably weird to call a guy a new face in town when he worked here as recently as 2008.
However, when Rob Chudzinski was announced as the 14th full-time head coach in the history of the Cleveland Browns on January 10, that is just what he was: a new face. A fresh face. A face that the...
The Browns officially kick off their first training camp under Rob Chudzinski and staff on Thursday July 25. We will break down each position in the weeks leading up to the start of camp with the players currently on the roster. The second position we take a look at is the running back position.
Running Backs Trent Richardson, Montario Hardesty, Dion Lewis, Brandon Jackson, Chris...

Wow. A really good read. “Frank earned the sheepskin about six months after he’d quarterbacked the Cleveland Browns to a rout of the Colts in the NFL championship...
Since 1999, what have been the four most explosive plays for the Cleveland Browns? Why four? Well, it’s the Fourth of July.
It has been way too long since I caught up with Jon. So, naturally we talked about everything from TV and sports and stats to the Browns and whether or not Jon can ever be an NBA fan. Hint. Probably not.
