Braylon Edwards had an eventful day Tuesday.Edwards, the former New York Jets (and now former Seattle Seahawks) receiver, tweeted that Mark Sanchez critics need not blame the Jets' signal-caller for his team's shortcomings but instead the "idiots calling the shots. "Edwards, however, wrote an apology tweet a couple hours later, explaining that his emotions got the best of him when defending his friend and that he has "the utmost respect for" the Jets' organization. Too late. The Seahawks pretty much immediately cut Edwards, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. Edwards had made just eight receptions in 10 games with Seattle, and he caught 15 in nine games with the San Francisco 49ers last season.Edwards was very good during his time with the Jets in 2009 and 2010, building immediate chemistry with Sanchez.
