Dawg Pound Daily:
With the Browns selecting two receivers in the second round yesterday - Brian Robiskie and Mohammed Mossaquoi - the speculation of Braylon Edwards’ future with the Browns continues. This time, there is word of Edwards being involved in a deal with the New York Jets that would send RB Thomas Jones to Cleveland. This rumor was apparently fueled when the Jets decided to pick RB Shonn Greene out of Iowa.
Head coach Eric Mangini has been busy turning the Browns into the Cleveland Jets this offseason, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see a move like this happen. However, at this point, it would appear more likely that Edwards is staying put. Robiskie and Mossaquoi could certainly develop into #1 receivers, but keeping Edwards around gives the receiving corps actual potential for next season.
This also doesn’t seem like much of a possibility now that the Browns have gone with RB James Davis, out of Clemson.
