We’re going to start something new this season. Before each game, I’m going to post “Cimini’s Six-Pack,” six relevant (sometimes irrelevant) thoughts on the upcoming matchup. That, of course, will come with a fearless prediction.

Week 1: Jets at Texans
1. Rookie jitters. Mark Sanchez is going to experience a severe case of butterflies at the outset, right? Maybe, maybe not. I went back and researched how he did in the first quarter of his road games at USC. In seven games, he threw only one interception _ at Arizona. If he can make it through the first quarter without any major blunders (see: Haloti Ngata, at Baltimore), it will be huge for the Jets.
2. Home cooking. The Texans are 12-4 at home over the last two seasons. There is a tremendous amount of optimism in these parts. The Texans finished last season on the upswing, going 8-4 after a horrendous 0-4 start. They believe it’s their time.
