According to ProFootballTalk.com on NBCSports, the Cincinnati Bengals have signed LB Manny Lawson to a one-year, $3 million deal. A big snap for the Bengals as the try to bolster their linebacking core.
Lawson, a former 49er, will likely be Cincy’s strong side linebacker for Week 1 when the Bengals take on the Cleveland Browns. Lawson recorded nine sacks and an interception in two years with San Francisco. Lawson is a quality run defender who has enough speed to cover tight ends.
