The Jets Blog:
After cutting down the roster to the mandatory 53 man lineup and trading a draft pick for Kevin O’Connell, Hutch reports that the Jets have acquired Punter, A.J. Trapasso, Tight End, Matthew Mulligan and Fullback, Jason Davis.
Trapasso, a rookie with the Titans, is best known for bouncing a punt off the Cowboys’ $40 million scoreboard. His arrival means that Reggie Hodges, as expected, is history. Mulligan and Davis fill needs at their respective positions. The addition of the three players and QB Kevin O’Connell means the Jets must release four players.
It should be interesting to see who the Jets will get rid of to get the roster back down to size but for now let the speculation commence.
