Found September 18, 2012 on NFL Draft Zone:
PLAYERS: Shawn Loiseau
TEAMS: Houston Texans
Associated Press After being released by the Houston Texans, Merrimack linebacker Shawn Loiseau was back at home in Boston looking for a job.  It didn’t take long for the strong linebacker to get a look.  Today he is in Indianapolis working out for the Colts.  Loiseau is a very tough kid and will hopefully stick on with the Colts.  This kid deserves it, because at Merrimack University he was the leading tackler several years in a row.Loiseau will bring a mean aggression to the Colts defense if signed.  Loiseau is hungrier than ever, I expect him to be staying in Indy longer than just today.  I will keep you updated, Good Luck Shawn.

Shots of the Houston Texans Girls Pre-Season Style

As you probably know the Texans Girls are our favorite cheering squad in the NFL.   And it’s for good reason.   I don’t want to skimp on the Dolphins or Buccaneers girls here but come on.  It’s just better in Texas ain’t it?  Who the hell knows how their season will turn out (probably better than the Cowboys) but one thing’s for certain.  The cheerleaders are going...

Mercilus struggling to find his role in Houston

Houston Texans 1st-round pick Whitney Mercilus was expected to be used as a pass-rush specialist this season, but he’s failed to carve out a niche for himself in the Texans defensive scheme so far. Through two games Mercilus as been on the field for just 24 plays, 18 of them as a pass rusher. In those 18 plays, he’s recorded just one quarterback hurry and zero sacks according...

Texans' offense could be ideal defense vs. Manning

The best way for the Houston Texans to defend Peyton Manning in Denver on Sunday may be to keep him off the field. The Texans (2-0) dominated possession with a punishing running game in last week's 27-7 victory over Jacksonville. Sure, the defense played well again, holding the Jaguars to nine first downs and 117 total yards. But thanks to the well-executed ball-control game...

Houston Texans’ Running Backs Arian Foster, Ben Tate continue backfield dominance

The Houston Texans are a team set in its ways. Under head coach Gary Kubiak, now in his seventh season as the Texans’ head man, the team has been known for it’s offensive prowess, particularly the zone-blocking running scheme. In the early part of Kubiak’s tenure, the Texans frequently shuffled their tailback position trying to find somebody who would stick. Heading into...

Kubiak looks ahead to Manning, Broncos

The Houston Texans have made it look easy so far, opening with two 20-point victories. The Texans (2-0) will get a more intriguing test this week, when they face old nemesis Peyton Manning in Denver. It's also a homecoming of sorts for Houston coach Gary Kubiak, who backed up John Elway with the Broncos from 1983-91 and later worked on Denver's staff under Mike Shanahan...

Watt better than expected so far this season

HOUSTON You expected the Houston Texans team that lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs would come back better this season. Matt Schaub would be the quarterback instead of T.J. Yates. Andre Johnson would be fully healthy. Instead of Jacoby Jones the Texans would have someone who was less of a knucklehead. Mario Williams didn't play in the game anyway. So, yes, the Texans...

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Jaguars Edition

The Houston Texans invaded Everbank Field to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in their first matchup of the season. The Texans started the game on offense and started with a vanilla passing game.  They moved the ball, but not effectively enough to score a touchdown as it led to a field goal. The Texans’ defense came out firing on all cylinders as the Bulls on Parade forced an...

Houston Texans take down Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7 behind defense, run game

For the second week in a row, the Houston Texans won in convincing manner as they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7 in Jacksonville. Unlike week one however, the Texans dominated from the start and left no doubt as to their superiority over their AFC South rival.  The big stories from week two for the Texans was the reemergence of their rushing attack and their record setting...

Week 2 Fantasy Football Recap: Texans vs. Jaguars

Houston Texans – 27, Jacksonville Jaguars – 7This game mostly played out exactly as most fantasy prognosticators predicted, which meant lots of running for the Texans, and not much Matt Schaub (192 total yards) passing.  Because the Texans are now a run first and good defense type of team, it’s hard to count on Schaub as anything more than a backup fantasy QB.Hopefully you...

Houston Texans at Denver Broncos: Week 3 NFL Pick

Houston Texans (2-0) at Denver Broncos (1-1) No line has moved more over the past week than this one. Last week, this line was -2.5 in favor of Denver and now it’s -2 in favor of Houston. Why? Because Houston blew out the lowly Jaguars? Because Denver lost by 6 in Atlanta, one of the toughest places to play in the National Football League? I don’t get it. This line should probably...

Week 3: Texans-Broncos matchup

Houston at Denver Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver - TV: CBS; DirecTV: 715 *TV announcers: Jim Nantz, Phil Simms *Keys to the game: Texans RB Arian Foster is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry, but Houston has done an excellent job of staying committed to the ground game despite a lack of explosive plays - and Foster and Ben Tate continue...

AFC Player of the Week: Watt, Bush Pick up the Honors for Week 2

Another week in the NFL is in the books on the young 2012 season and already we have seen some monster performances, as well as spectacular let downs. The AFC saw dominating wins from the likes of the Houston Texans and the Miami Dolphins, so it should come as no surprise that they both featured a player that was named an AFC Player of the Week on each side of the ball. On the offensive...

The POGs: Jacksonville Edition

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-  The Texans easily defeated their division rival Jacksonville Jaguars by amassing 411 total yards via a franchise record 83 total plays.  The Texans dominated offensively and defensively.  The Jaguars were stuffed, managing only 117 total yards – 32 yards coming on one pass play.  Gabbert was limited to a miserable 53 yards passing. The Jaguars had no answers...
