SANTA CLARA, March 12 — By all indications, Randy Moss scored another knockout win today during his workout with the San Francisco 49ers.

According to CSNBAYAREA.COM, 49ers running back Anthony Dixon watched the audition that included “go routes, slants, outs, curls and comeback patterns.”

But it was Dixon’s own words that indicate that Moss has at least one fan in the building. “”It made my day to meet Randy Moss and talk to him.” “He looked good.”

Moss did his thing for about 15 minutes and Dixon’s words of encouragement included a definitive “yes” when asked if he would want Moss as a team mate.

The NFL came down hard on Dallas and Washington, penalizing each team a significant amount of cap space for front-loading contracts during the uncapped 2010 season.

Moss a 49er, ready to ‘accept the challenge’

Randy Moss is back in the NFL, this time with the San Francisco 49ers. He said he is ready to accept the challenge, still has a passion for football and has gotten a bad rap from “the worldwide sports media.”

The NFL Sends Confusing Messages in Salary Cap Penalties

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL is set to penalize the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins millions of dollars for front-loading contracts during the uncapped 2010 season. League sources currently set the penalties at approximately $10 million from the Cowboys and $36 million from the Redskins.  The teams will have the option to split the penalties over the 2012 and 2013...

49ers Signing Of Randy Moss Is Good News For Steelers Fans In Regards To Mike Wallace

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver Randy Moss on a one-year deal Monday evening. The signing of Moss should put to an end the notion that the 49ers will make a run at Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace, should the two sides not reach a long term deal by the start of free...

Randy Moss to work out for 49ers

Hot News for WR Randy Moss

Randy Moss is back in the bay!

The San Francisco 49ers and Randy Moss agree to a one year deal. Moss must of made an impression on Harbaugh who spent the day throwing passes to him. The real question around the stick is who is going to be throwing passes in San Francisco this year. Alex Smith told Kim Coyle of CBS-5 that he was working the details with the Niners to sign a new contract. But my question is that...

In Case You Missed it: Harbaugh throws to Moss then signs him

It might have been more surreal if it were the Randy Moss of say 2004, but it wasn't. Yet it still was oddly compelling. The San Francisco 49ers brought the mercurial Moss in for a workout on Monday. The problem: No quarterback to throw to him.The solution, have former QB and current 'Niners coach Jim Harbaugh throw to him.Somebody must have been impressed. The reason: Moss...

49ers' big catch on eve of free agency: Moss

A little game of catch with coach Jim Harbaugh was all it took to convince the 49ers that the mercurial Randy Moss is for them. On the eve of NFL free agency, the Niners addressed one of their most pressing needs Monday by signing one of the most explosive wide receivers in NFL history to a one-year deal, potentially giving the team the field-stretching wideout it was sorely lacking last season.

Dolphins trade Brandon Marshall to Bears

Free agency is still seconds away from beginning, and yet we've already been dealt the first major move. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have traded receiver Brandon Marshall to the Bears, where he'll reunite with quarterback Jay Cutler. The Fins received two third-round picks -- one in 2012, the other in 2013 -- in exchange for the mercurial wideout...

49ers Land Randy Moss

A little game of catch with coach Jim Harbaugh was all it took to convince the 49ers that the mercurial Randy Moss is for them. Strait Talk Showdown

Randy Moss to the Niners…who blinks first? Him or Coach Harbaugh? NickEv Jim Harbaugh is not going to blink, ever. He is taking a shot at a stud wide receiver to do what he did a few years back. And that is be one of the top five receivers in the league. If Randy Moss doesn’t produce or causes any kind of problems in the clubhouse, he will be gone. That’s it. Jim Harbaugh...

Cleveland Browns sign Frostee Rucker

Adam Schefter from ESPN has a report on twitter that the Cleveland Browns have signed Frostee Rucker. The former defensive end of the Cincinnati Bengals has a reported new contract worth 21 million with 8 million guaranteed. The 20 million number will scare people but the real money is the 8 million which isn't too much for an average pass rusher in the NFL. The hope for the...
