It may have ratcheted down a bit with ManningMania reaching its pinnacle, but BountyGate is still fresh in the minds of most. Once again, the Saints’ record-setting franchise player touched on the scandal. Appearing on Fox Sports Radio Friday, Drew Brees said he “really had no idea” about the bounty program, a “pay-for-performance” system that former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams enforced during his three-year tenure in New Orleans. “Well, obviously the whole bounty situation is disappointing for all of us, just because for me, I really had no idea what was going on,” Brees said. “It seems there’s an investigation that’s ongoing now for awhile, and the facts are still being gathered. And to be honest, a lot of us found ourselves searching for answers and facts here the past few weeks. But it’s an extremely unfortunate situation, and I think a lot of us are just waiting to see what the investigation turns up and then the decisions that will need to be made by the commis...

  • "Big shock"? Anybody out there believe that one I have a bridge, no two bridges to sell you. When confronted with something like this I would think that "no comment" is better than pretending this was happening all around you for years and you had no clue it was going on.
