Appearing on Fox Sports Radio Friday, Drew Brees said he “really had no idea” about the bounty program, a “pay-for-performance” system that former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams enforced during his three-year tenure in New Orleans.
“Well, obviously the whole bounty situation is disappointing for all of us, just because for me, I really had no idea what was going on,” Brees said. “It seems there’s an investigation that’s ongoing now for awhile, and the facts are still being gathered.
