Saints quarterback Drew Brees has agreed to terms on a five-year, $100 million deal with $40 million in the first year of his contract in 2012. "Deal is Done! Love you, Who Dat Nation. See you soon," Brees posted on his Twitter feed at 2 p.m. ET Friday. Brees was designated the Saints' franchise player in February and sometimes-icy negotiations became contentious as reports surfaced that the two sides were far apart on the total guaranteed salary in the first three years of the deal. The contract includes $61 million in the first three years, all guaranteed, which is a record for any NFL contract. The $100 million total value of the deal trumps the five-year, $96 million contract Peyton Manning signed with the Broncos in March, making Brees the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL. Brees is coming off of a record-setting season in which he broke Dan Marino's record for passing yards with 5,476 and completed 71.2 percent of his passes, breaking his own record (70.6 in 2009)...
