With the reinstatement papers sitting on the desk of Roger Goodell, Brett Favre essentially forced the Packers' hand by chartering a plane for Green Bay earlier this afternoon.
Once those papers are signed, Favre would be able to join Green Bay for training camp within a matter of hours — something the Green Bay brass has vehemently been against since Favre decided to make a comeback.
And now, with the Packers up against a wall, rumor has it that that New York Jets — not Tampa Bay, as I earlier speculated — may be the front-runner to land Favre ... and may have already done so.
