Bush League Chronicle:
With the 2013 NFL Draft just a couple of days away, retired quarterback Brett Favre sent out a tweet wishing good luck to all of the draft hopefuls. He also included a picture of himself lying in bed while receiving the call from the Atlanta Falcons informing him that he had been drafted (2nd round-33rd overall). Does anyone else think the people in the background look eerily similar to wall posters? Nonetheless, the image is a candid photo of one of the most decorated signal callers in professional football history.I remember the '91 draft like it was yesterday. Best of luck to all the draftees #nfldraft2013 twitter.com/Favre4Official…— Brett Favre(@Favre4Official) April 23, 2013Favre would go on to throw just four passes in his Falcons career before being traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1992. The rest, as they say, is history. Favre went on to become a star in Green Bay, spending 16 seasons there before serving brief stints with the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings, before calling it quits for good in 2011.Via Twitter (@Favre4Official)

Hold on to your dicks, everyone, I got some news for you today that's going to blow your mind holes:

After the big, premature and accidental release (I promise this never happens!) of the Minnesota Vikings new uniforms yesterday, many pairs of eagle eyes took note of the new number font that appeared on the jerseys. These numbers had some serif, pointy sharpies on the ends of the numbers, but really only on the right side of each number, or at least, the first number appearing. ...
According to Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 Twin Cities, the Vikings could place RB Toby Gerhart could trading block “once injuries start hitting in camp.”
Pelissero adds that this may come down to whether or not the Vikings are willing to give him an increased role at some point in the future.
Gerhart, 26, is entering the final year of his rookie contract, so Minnesota could always...
Two days before the draft, Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said the team found an answer at one of its questionable positions, defensive tackle.
Unfortunately, Spielman joked, it was a short-term solution.
Spielman announced Tuesday at his annual predraft press conference that defensive tackle Pat Williams will sign a one-day contract with Minnesota on Thursday to...
The NFL’s first year player draft has, like most NFL endeavours, been built into a significant spectacle. It’s a great thing as it builds fan excitement during an otherwise down period in the offseason and reminds us all that kickoff is only four months away. We're lucky to have such a spectacle... just ask this photo of Brett Favre from draft day '91...
Now this look is not as good as the Miami Dolphins one, but you can still get a decent look at how the new Vikings uniforms are going to look.
So those of you that have been doing what the team wanted so you could see all the sneak peeks--you can stop now. Here is the real deal:

I’ll admit it, when it comes to the NFL, I am a pretty casual fan. Being a Minnesota Vikings fan will do that to a person. It wasn’t always this way, I remember as a kid re-enacting spin moves out in the yard and diving to catch passes I threw to myself all while wearing my #20 Darrin Nelson jersey. But this isn’t about how the Vikings have torn my heart out so many times...
With the re-signing of Jamarca Sanford, the Vikings don’t have a pressing need at safety, but this is a fairly deep draft class at the position. We go in-depth to review the stats, analysis, measurables and projections for the top 10 safeties.
Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.
Cheesy song, but a great line.
