There has been a lot of talk lately about whether Brett Favre will come back for his 18th season for the Green Bay Packers, or retire as arguably the best QB in the history of the NFL. The nay-sayers are calling the QB out for taking so long to decide and keeping Green Bay from entering the free agent market. If you know the Packers franchise, nothing could be further from the truth. The last time the Pack went out and signed a big name free agent was in 1993 with the inking of Reggie White. With a strong corps of WR's and RB's the Packers likely wouldn't be testing the free agent waters anyway. However, the Favre faithful obviously want him to return, regardless of how long it takes him to decide, because they realize the energetic QB will make or break the success of each season. And with the promise of another playoff appearance, Favre will more than likely suit it up for at least one more campaign. So I say, back of so called sports experts and let Favre make a decision. What's the worst that could happen, Favre retires and in steps the backup QB, Aaron Rodgers. However, at this rate Rodgers will retire before Favre. www.rawsportsblog.com
