Brian Banks, who was wrongly imprisoned for rape five years ago is getting a shot at the NFL.  He has now worked out for the Seattle Seahawks and San Diego Chargers and could have an opportunity with the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chargers worked Banks out on Friday where coach Norv Turner said he showed "outstanding athleticism" and he would not bet against him.

In Seattle Banks was invited to audition as a linebacker where he ran a 4.7-second 40-yard dash.  Seattle was so impressed with Banks they have invited him back for the three-day minicamp starting Tuesday.

Coach Pete Carroll offered Banks a scholarship to play linebacker at USC 10 years ago, he had this to say about Banks first workout.

From the Seattle Times:"I was really proud to be able to say that to him," coach Pete Carroll said. "And the light in his eye, the emotion that was running through him was amazing. This is a great illustration for us of why people deserve a second chance because of what he's overcome."

Banks, 26, is 6 feet 2, 239 pounds.  He said the workout in Seattle was the best day of his life.

Here is Banks on the Tonight Show.
