Found October 23, 2012 on NFL Draft Zone:

Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer confirmed after Sunday’s loss that rookie Daryl Richardson will stay involved as a complement to Steven Jackson moving forward. Jackson is the inside runner. Richardson is the in-space complementary back with big-play skills. “You have to defend different parts of the field with each guy,” said Schottenheimer. ”
Steven just pounds on you. Then obviously Daryl, when he’s in space, is pretty dangerous. They both complement each other very well.” Richardson has been a good player this year, but because the Rams are playing from behind he is not getting the ball as much. This week the Rams play New England, so expect another week of him being under utilized.
