Not usually around the computer at this time on a Friday night, but I have a ultimate frisbee tournament this weekend in Baton Rouge for which I need to stay rested. But being home on a Friday night does have it advantages sometimes, like quality time with the wife, great stuff on TV (OK, not really, but DVDs and Wii are fun) and being able to report on breaking news.
This kind of qualifies under that last bit. This is the first I have heard of it anyway, but the Football Guys are reporting blogging that Eagles' runningback Brian Westbrook is considering holding out of training camp.
Interesting that I wrote about Lorenzo Booker shadowing Westbrook last week, because a short or lengthy holdout by Westy could give Booker the reps he needs to cement his role as the heir apparent in the Philly backfield. Either scenario ? short or lengthy hold out ? would make it imperative that Westbrook owners target Booker or Correll Buckhalter in fantasy drafts next month.
