"Bring My City A Ship," Jets CB Justin Hardee Told Browns' QB Joe Flacco
Scott Galvin-USA TODAY Sports

The Browns may be one of the easiest teams to cheer for when the postseason begins in a couple weeks and veteran quarterback Joe Flacco is a big reason why.

Since coming to Cleveland, Flacco has quite literally turned back the clock on his career en route to 1,616 yards 13 touchdowns and most importantly a 4-1 record. He's become one of the feel good stories of the season after joining the Browns in Week 12 after spending the season up until that point at home.

It wasn't for a lack of wanting to play. In fact, Flacco was waiting anxiously for teams to call, including his team the previous two seasons in the New York Jets, who lost star quarterback Aaron Rodgers four plays into the season. They never did, until the Browns gave him a ring following a season ending injury to franchise QB Deshaun Watson.

Six weeks later, he's set to lead the Browns offense on a playoff run to chase the Lombardi Trophy and he's got some of his ex-teammates pulling for him.

Following the Browns 37-20 win over the Jets on Thursday Night, Flacco exchanged pleasantries with a number of Jets players, including Rodgers and Cleveland native, CB Justin Hardee, who had a message for the 38-year-old QB.

"You know this is my city man," Hardee began, "Bring my city a ship," to which Flacco responded, "I will."

Cleveland is already buzzing over the team clinching a playoff berth for the second time in four years, but hearing other players pulling for Flacco and this resilient Browns team should fire up the fan base even more.

Hardee was born in raised in Cleveland and attended Glenville High School, which has produced other notable NFLers like Ted Ginn Jr. , Donte Whitner , Frank Clark and Marshon Lattimore among others. The 29-year-old certainly knows what a championship would mean to this city.

Along with Hardee, Flacco also received some nice comments from Rodgers, who expressed great joy over Flacco's run, encouraging him to "keep ballin."
