OAKLAND -- Peyton Manning threw for 310 yards and a touchdown, leading the Denver Broncos to their eighth consecutive victory Thursday night, a 26-13 win over the Oakland Raiders at the O.co Coliseum. The Broncos, who clinched the AFC West title last week with a win over Tampa Bay, improved to 10-3 and moved a half-game ahead of Baltimore and New England (both 9-3) in a battle for the No. 2 playoff seed in the conference. The Raiders lost their sixth game in a row and fell to 3-10. They were eliminated from playoff contention last week with a loss to Cleveland. This is the Raiders' longest losing streak since a six-game skid in 2007 under Lane Kiffin. They lost nine straight the year before under Art Shell. Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno carried 32 times for 119 yards and a touchdown. Manning completed 26 of 36 passes and beat the Raiders for the second time this season. Wide receiver Eric Decker caught eight passes for 88 yards, and wide receiver Demaryius Moore h...

I Was Wrong About The Denver Broncos

When I was looking at the AFC West coming into this season, I felt it was a division that was up for grabs. A lot of people were quick to pick the Denver Broncos simply because they were able to add one of the biggest free agents ever known in quarterback Peyton Manning. I wasn't one of those people to pick the Broncos because I had to see just which Peyton Manning we were going...

Peyton Manning: Comeback Player of the Year?

Denver Bronco’s QB Peyton Manning is having a great 2012 season so far. As of this writing he has led the Broncos to the AFC West title and has completed 330 of 483, 3812 yards, and 30 touchdowns, with only 10 interceptions. While this kind of season was pretty ordinary during his days in Indianapolis, [...]

With Leather’s Watch This: Lo Thine Fantasy Gods, We Beckon Ye For Peyton Manning

Earlier this week, in the Fantasy Football Support Group post, I broke down the strange, new curse that is the Thursday Night Football QB conundrum. As I finished writing that, something horrifying dawned on me – I have Peyton Manning on Thursday...

Stop It

(Author's note: I came up with the general theme and "Stop it." idea halfway through writing this. Hence why it seems a bit disorganized. Still in better shape than the Bills, I think.) Hey everybody! Did you miss me? *crickets* Ok then. Well if anybody even knows/remembers who the hell I am, I have not written for Buffalo Wins for a long time because of...
