The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with former New England Patriots defensive lineman Ty Warren.
Warren was released by the Patriots on Friday. ESPN reported the deal was worth $10 million over two years with $2.5 million guaranteed.
Warren was the 13th overall pick in the 2003 draft out of Texas A&M.
He spent all of last season on injured reserve with a hip injury after being a regular starter for six seasons, collecting 20 1/2 sacks in 92 games for the Patriots.
Warren is the third former first-rounder the Broncos have acquired to augment their defensive line. They traded with Philadelphia for tackle Brodrick Bunkley, the 14th overall pick in 2006, and they signed free agent end Derrick Harvey, the eighth overall pick in 2009, over the weekend.
