They say the shortest path to the unemployment line is poor play. In Tony Carter’s case, however, it may be his warped sense of “humor.”
On Monday night, the Broncos cornerback was at a local movie theater and tweeted a reference to the July shooting in Aurora, Colo. that left 12 dead and 58 injured.
“At a late night movie in Denver yall pray for me!” Carter tweeted, via KDVR-TV.
Shortly after, he deleted the tasteless tweet and followed it up with “No Disrespect!!!” That tweet was also deleted.
On Tuesday morning, Carter issued an apology for what he deemed an “insensitive and inappropriate comment.”
I am truly sorry for the insensitive and inappropriate comment I made last night. It will never happen again.

Denver, CO. Three weeks of the 2012 regular season are now in the books, and the Denver Broncos are 1-2. Denver, CO. The NFL is full of stats, as anything and everything that happens on the gridiron is tracked without fail. Numbers rule this game, and many times it is these numbers that explain why a given team is not living up to expectations, or on the other hand, why another given team is surprising everyone and getting the job done. A lot of the stats truly do end up being somewhat...

Another week in the books and another week of miscues. The Denver Broncos, frustratingly, are finding ways to lose. The talent is there, make no mistake, but the mental toughness and discipline is not. [DenverBroncos.com & SI.com]

All fans believe they are the most devoted group. Fans of the Denver Broncos recently had the opportunity to speak with Rant Sports outside Sports Authority Field as part of the Bud Light NFL Tailgate Series about their Orange and Blue pride. Their fervor is just as you would expect prior to game time.
Save for one shaky performance, Peyton Manning has done most everything the Denver Broncos expected when they signed him to a lucrative deal in the offseason.
He can't do much if Denver can't hang onto the football, though.
Manning hopes his rough recent history versus the host San Diego Chargers doesn't play a role when the turnover-prone Broncos look to even the division...

Last year, about this time, it happened. The underperforming Denver Broncos removed Kyle Orton from his position as starter and anointed Tim Tebow to his spot. Without getting into details, we know the story from there. With Tebow at quarterback the Broncos reeled off a number of impressive late game victories and found themselves in the playoffs … Continue reading »
