The Denver Broncos will hold off on placing defensive tackle Ty Warren on season-ending injured reserve.
Warren underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a torn triceps and is expected to be sidelined for three to four months.
Broncos coach John Fox said the club will wait to make a decision on Warren, noting that every player heals differently.
Warren was a 2003 first-round pick of the New England Patriots and spent his first eight seasons with the club. He sat out all of last season with a hip injury and was released by the Patriots this summer. In his career, he has 373 tackles and 20.5 sacks.
