Denver Post:
The only surprise on the Broncos’ first released depth chart was a mild one. It occurred at tight end where Daniel Fells has already moved ahead of Richard Quinn.
Surprising because Fells signed as a free agent and didn’t start practicing until Thursday evening.
Other first-team developments of note: Knowshon Moreno is the starting tailback with Willis McGahee on the second team; Brodrick Bunkley is starting at one defensive tackle position along with Kevin Vickerson; and Cassius Vaughn continues to play ahead of Perrish Cox in the nickel.
Moreno is expected to start ahead of McGahee, who signed a four-year, $9.5 million deal as a free agent. Bunkley got a four-day head start on free agent Ty Warren. It was obivous to the coaching staff that Vaughn, one of the fastest players on the Broncos’ roster, put in more work during the offseason than Cox, although Cox’s legal problems can’t be helping him.
