Denver Broncos coach John Fox and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio were fined a combined $55,000 by the NFL for publicly criticizing replacement referees last week. Fox received a $30,000 fine and Del Rio was docked $25,000 for their behavior during last Monday night's 27-21 defeat against the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN. Fox and De Rio were visibly upset with the officiating in the first quarter, which took an hour to play. The league reportedly called the Georgia Dome at halftime to send a message to Fox and Del Rio to tone it down in the second half. The NFL has since requested that coaches and front offices of every team avoid such behavior toward officials.
