TEAMS: Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos defense has played at a high level with starting cornerback Tracy Porter and the good news is that he might be back this week against the Browns. Porter, though, started practicing three weeks ago and there’s a decent chance he will play, if in a limited role, this week against the Cleveland Browns. “As far as Tracy goes, they’re all competitors,” Broncos coach John Fox said. “They want to play. He got injured or had an illness; some guys stepped in and did well. He just needs to focus on getting better every day. I saw good improvement last week. He went a month without playing. So he’s working his way back.” At the very least I’m sure Porter will be ready for the playoffs. Denver Broncos, an emerging powerhouse

Yesterday, I watched in awe as the Denver Broncos dismantled the Baltimore Ravens 34-17 in Baltimore. And the game wasn’t as close as the score would indicate. With their ninth straight victory, this one against one of the best AFC teams, the Broncos are becoming an NFL powerhouse. The Broncos dominated the first half building a 10-0 lead. Miller to Make Final Push to Win DPOY Honors

When it comes to defensive awards, sacks don’t mean everything.  But they don’t hurt, either. Last season, Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller won Defensive Rookie of the Year honors despite recording fewer sacks (11.5) then San Francisco’s Aldon Smith (14).  This year, the scenario is different. Miller won as a rookie because Smith was—and in some circles, still is...

If the Season Ended Today: AFC’s Second Seed

As the chart from NFL.com shows, the Denver Broncos would be the No. 2 seed in the AFC Playoff race if the season ended today. “Right now, I know we can control our own destiny, but if we don’t play our best game against Cleveland this week, that will be all for naught,” Coach John Fox said on Monday.  ”So all our focus will be on the Cleveland Browns, a team that’s won...
