Coach Josh McDaniels said Friday that there would be some shuffling of personnel, particularly at left guard and left tackle, as part of an attempt to settle on a starting lineup heading into the Sept. 12 regular season opener at Jacksonville.
Though rookie Zane Beadles, a second-round pick out of Utah, has had the bulk of the first team reps at left guard, McDaniels said the team would rotate in Stanley Daniels while the first-team offense was still on the field to get a feel for how he handles the position while playing against the opposition's best.
"It's a competitive situation," McDaniels said. "There have been no decisions made on who's our starting left guard. I think this just means both players are competing very hard to be that player.
