The Broncos signed veteran linebacker Keith Brooking to a one-year deal. A 15-year veteran, Brooking, 36, has played in 209 career games and has been voted to the Pro Bowl five times. A first-round pick in 1998, Brooking spent 11 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and played the past three seasons with the Cowboys. He became a backup for the first time since his rookie season in 2011 in Dallas, starting only three of 16 games. Brooking has not missed a regular-season game since 2000 when he was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury. Broncos coach John Fox has coached more than a dozen games against Brooking as former division foes when Fox was with the Panthers.
